One of the best sources of protein are eggs. A large egg (about 50-55 g) contains about 7 g of protein. This protein contains all the essential exogenous amino acids (i.e. those that must be supplied with food) and in ideal proportions. This means that its composition is most similar to that of body proteins and it is a protein of the highest biological value. As recognized by WHO (World Health Organization), chicken egg protein is the standard against which all other proteins found in various food products are compared. Egg protein helps in reducing body weight, supports eye health, takes care of the condition of the brain, protects against heart diseases, improves mood.
